NIKKI YOUNG

Writer/Director/Producer

Ms. Young earned a BA in English from Georgetown University in Washington, DC where she was artistic director of Black Movements Dance Theatre. During her tenure, she produced and choreographed the showcase work “Transcendence of Dance through the African American Experience” which enjoyed a sold-out run in Georgetown’s Black Box Theatre.

After graduation, she moved to Atlanta to work at Turner Broadcasting. At Turner, she gained valuable insight into the entertainment industry, working behind the scenes in marketing, public relations and production for various divisions and special projects including the Trumpet Awards.

In 2003, Nikki starred in the independent short film “Winning Lisa.” In addition to playing the title character in the film, Nikki served as writer, director, and editor for the project which she produced on a limited budget of less than $1000.

Ms. Young produced Medley of a Playwright: A Tribute to the Life and Work of August Wilson, in 2006. Staged in Atlanta before a standing room only audience, the production featured scenes from eight plays from the renowned playwright’s epic ten-play cycle, woven together with narration from Wilson’s own commentary about his work. She is currently developing various feature film, television and stage projects.

KRISI YOUNG

Musical Supervisor/Composer

A graduate of the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill, Krisi began playing piano as a child. While in high school she performed as a jazz pianist at venues around her hometown of Pittsburgh, PA. Currently pursuing her MBA, she is the music liaison for Nikkiyo Films.

JUDGE LUCKEY

Associate Producer/Casting Director

Judge Luckey is a professional actor, arts educator and casting associate. A member of Actor’s Equity and the Screen Actor’s Guild he has appeared in film and television productions. With over fifteen years of experience as a Casting Associate with the Chez Group his casting credits include: THE FIGHTING TEMPTATIONS, DIARY OF A MAD BLACK WOMAN, SWEET HOME ALABAMA; BOYCOTT, winner of the 2001 Peabody Award, and the HBO production of WARM SPRINGS, winner of the 2005 Emmy Award.
